Beyond Books privacy policy

This policy explains the information used to operate the Beyond Books website, remember purchases, deliver digital books, and provide support.

Information we handle

• Local reading data: reading progress and reader preferences are stored in your browser on your device.
• Google sign-in data: when account features are available, Google provides a stable account identifier, email address, and email-verification status. Beyond Books does not receive your Google password.
• Purchase data: Stripe provides transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, currency, purchase time, and the selected book. Beyond Books does not receive or store a full card number or card security code.
• Service data: Cloudflare and our hosting systems may process IP address, browser and device information, request times, requested URLs, and security or error logs.
• Support data: we receive the email address and information you choose to send when requesting help.

How we use information

We use this information to sign readers in, create and protect sessions, confirm ownership, deliver purchased content, prevent fraud and abuse, troubleshoot failures, issue refunds, answer support requests, and meet accounting or legal obligations.

Service providers

Google supplies identity sign-in, Stripe processes payments, and Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and its private purchase records. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not sell personal information.

Storage and retention

Account, session, entitlement, and payment-reference records are stored in access-controlled systems. We keep them while needed to provide purchased access and afterward when reasonably necessary for refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, accounting, or law. Technical logs are retained according to our service providers' settings. Local reading data remains on your device until you reset it or clear browser storage.

Choices and requests

You can reset local reading progress from the library. You may request access, correction, or deletion of account information by emailing [email protected]. We may retain transaction records that law, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute handling requires. Deleting an account can end access tied to that account.

Children

The stories may be enjoyed by families, but accounts and purchases are intended to be managed by adults. Beyond Books is not designed to collect personal information directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information should contact us.
